“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your strength, with all your soul, and with all your mind.”

At a Men’s Bible study we talked in depth on the idea of being desperate for God. As I researched various meanings of the word desperate, I came across “giving all”. The phrase stood out to me because it reminded me of the scripture that I quoted above (see Deuteronomy 6:5, Matthew 22:37, Mark 12:30, Luke 10:27).

If being desperate for God means giving my all then I’m all in with the idea. As I continue to grow in my relationship and connection with God I can feel the Holy Spirit more and more in my daily activities. I can sense His promptings and nudgings. God speaks to our intuition as we continue to hone it through Bible study and alone time with Him.

The graphic below shows how we practically connect with God.

Like any practice, spirituality requires certain actions be repeated over and over in order to master it.
