What practical spirituality means to me is that we incorporate our spiritual practice into our daily lives. Our daily practice begins with connecting with God—either through prayer or reading the Bible. I’ve shared on a vlog how I pray to the Lord while I walk from my house to the bus stop. And I also pray throughout the day when I’m alone and walking from one place to another.
In this video, I explain how reading the Bible daily can be accomplished with your own schedule or using a Bible app. Bible apps like the Holy Bible app make it easy for users to get their daily dose of the Bible. They have different reading plans like scripture for the day, or reading through the Old Testament or New Testament in 1-year. And even reading the entire Bible in 1-year.
As for me at this stage of my life, I read the Bible once a week typically early in the morning on Sunday. My schedule is busy during the week, so I get a week’s worth of reading done in one day. About 15 to 18 chapters.
The point is not having to feel like you have to do things a certain way to be spiritual. What matters is being intentional with your spirituality so it fits within your daily schedule.
