i get on my own nerves

"You don't like me, that makes two of us."
NF, No name (2018)

The above line from NF makes me laugh because I know exactly how he feels. My wife knows that I get on my own nerves. In other words, I get irritated with the way I dump my bad attitude on people sometimes. I get annoyed from overthinking things sometimes. And I can't stand how I cling to certain sins like it's going to do something for me.

Earlier today, I was sharing with my wife how I gotta keep doing me when it comes to blogging. I'm not gonna be the guy who's preachy about his faith. I'm trying to appeal to the person who is on the fence with their spirituality. I also want to reach those who think spirituality is just a joke. Why? Because I was that person too.

Too many of us spiritual people are judgmental of others when they're not spiritual. What the heck?! That seems so dumb to me. As if everyone is supposed to believe everything we believe. Even Jesus Himself told us what our reality will be when we follow Him:

"When people realize it is the living God you are presenting and not some idol that makes them feel good, they are going to turn on you, even people in your own family."
Matthew 10:22, The Message.

If you consider yourself a mature Christian, then you better recognize that being judgmental is for the immature. Everyone is right where they are because that is what they're choosing. Let them be who they are. That's what Jesus is basically saying when He tells us some people will turn on us when we present Him. Some will not accept Jesus in their heart and that's just part of life. It's sad, but it's all personal choice. And we love others when we honor their choice.

Sometimes you just have to scream it out!
